Provide an opportunity for students to work together with the teacher to develop criteria for a presentation. Have students reflect on presentations that they have seen and discuss what they liked and disliked. An example of this activity was done at the secondary level and students discussed the power of using visuals to tell a story. The teacher shared that by taking the time to discuss what good communication skills are and how they play into a presentation, the result were the best student presentations she had ever seen.
